Our Practice Manager is Mrs Denise Matthews. She is responsible for the management and administration of the practice.
Our Office Manager is Mrs Debbie Horne.
Our receptionists are the first point of contact for general enquiries and provide an important link for patients with the practice. They make most of the appointments with GPs and Practice Nurses and provide general information, directing you to the right person or service. They also carry out a lot of the important tasks such as processing and issuing repeat prescriptions and working with medical records, keeping the records up to date and helping with audits.
Please assist our receptionists when you are asked for what may seem like personal details – the information is to help the doctor, nurse or healthcare assistant who is going to be dealing with your problem. All staff are bound by confidentiality protocols.
We have three Practice Nurses, Ann Sutherland, Colleen Reid and Julie Clarke . Our nurses hold clinics for various chronic diseases such as Asthma, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Hypertension and COPD. They can help you with various procedures, such as cervical smears, dressings, stitch removal, injections. Our receptionists need to know why you are requesting an appointment with the nurses to make sure you are given the correct appointment.
We have a phlebotomist, Carol Kirk, who has appointments four mornings per week. She is responsible for taking blood tests but can also check blood pressure and carry out weight checks. Our new patient medicals are also carried out by our Phlebotomist.
