Hospital Hill Surgery provides a full and confidential family planning service including coil fitting, implants, pill and emergency contraception.
Minor surgical procedures are carried out at the surgery. Appointments are arranged following an appointment with a GP to assess the problem.
This is a non NHS service and patients are required to complete a travel advice request form and submit this to the practice at least three weeks before date of travel. You can download a form here and post this in to the surgery - we need to have a signature on this form which is why we don't accept this via email. Please allow five working days from handing in this form before enquiring if the information has been provided and any relevant prescriptions prepared. Only certain immunisations are available free of charge, but this will be detailed on your form.
Only a limited travel service is offered by the surgery, but a full travel advice service is offered at specialist travel clinics. They can be contacted on the following numbers:
Western General Hospital Edinburgh: Tel: 0131 537 2822

Fife Podiatry Service
Podiatrists assess and treat problems of the foot and lower limb.
Our service aims to promote good foot health in Fife and support individuals to maintain mobility and independence.
The NHS Fife Podiatry Service does not provide a nail cutting service.
If you are a Fife resident you can self-refer to the podiatry service for advice without seeing your GP or other health care professional.
Please complete the attached self-referral form or pick up a form at your GP practice.
Non NHS Services
Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:
Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
Insurance claim forms
Prescriptions / certificates for taking medication abroad
Private sick notes
The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and a notice is displayed at reception.
